The other day I was given the chance to save a life. A life that is filled with love, hate, spite, sin, mistakes, fun, laughter, dreams, and heart ache. You know what, actually I do not know what the life of the person that was in need of saving was filled with because I did not speak more than a handful of words to this young person.
I was riding with my sister down a less than crowded street the other night when I saw in the distance a woman* struggling to escape from the grasp a cowardly man. As our car crept closer I saw the man straggling her and beating her with everything he had, and with everything she had she was trying to fight back.
I began to panic. I started questioning my sister, “What do we do? We have to do something!!! If we just call 911 she will be dead by then!”
